REASI, Jan 1: Drubbing Katra Cricket Club by a big margin of 77 runs in the semifinals, National Cricket Club (NCC) Reasi sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Reasi Police, under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium, here.
The Tournament is being held under the supervision of Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman, DySP Hqrs Reasi, Sanjay Singh Rana, Additional SP Reasi and under the overall supervision of Tahir Sajad Bhat, SSP Reasi.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, NCC Reasi scored a good total of 187 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Nishu top scored with 75 off 44 balls, while Rakesh contributed valuable 57 runs off 37 balls. Sachin also chipped in with 24 runs off 20 balls. For Katra Cricket Club, Sahil, Nikhil and Jeetu claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Katra Cricket Club bundled out for 109 runs in 17.5 overs, thus lost the match by 77 runs. Sahil was the top scorer with 50 runs off 40 balls, while Jeetu and Shiva contributed 24 and 14 runs to the total respectively. For NCC Reasi, Nishu and Sachin took 2 wickets, while Dev claimed one. Nishu of NCC Reasi was adjudged as man of the match for his splendid all-round show.
The match was officiated by Vishwajeet and Vikas Bali as umpires, while Vijay Pal Singh was the scorer.
Rahul Suri was the chief guest on the occasion, who presented a trophy to the winner of the man of the match award.
