JAMMU, Jan 22: On the eve of 68 Republic day celebrations, NCC Group Jammu organized a mini marathon for NCC cadets, today.
The marathon was flagged off from Balidan Stambh and culminated at Green Belt Park Gandhi Nagar Jammu. 300 enthusiastic cadets both boys & girls of 2 J&K Battion NCC, participated in the marathon. The marathon was flagged off by Brigadier Rajan Jamwal, Group Commander NCC Group Jammu. The cadets ran for unity and to imbibe sportsman spirit amongst the young and vibrant youth of Jammu city. The winners Lundup Dorjai of MAM College, Bharti Sharma of Prade College and Ashfaq Ahmed of APS Jammu Cantt stood in first position, Narinder Verma of MAM College, Sarita Mathur of Prade College and Aakrshit Pathak of APS Jammu Cantt stood in second position, Gunjeet Singh of MAM College, Mamta Thakur of GCW Gandhi Nagar and Harish Chand stood in third position, Ashuthosh Sharma of GDC Paloura, Kajal Devi of Prade College and Taman Deep Singh of APS Miran Shaib stood fourth position in the marathon. The winners of the marathon were given medals and cash prizes.
