NC will contest elections with full conviction & might: Sagar

SRINAGAR, Oct 29:  National Conference general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar today presided over a high-level meeting along with Members of Legislature and senior party functionaries at NC Headquarters,  Nawa-e-Subah Complex and said that NC would contest the coming election with full conviction and might.
The NC general secretary said that the party would contest the election on the basis of the landmark achievements of the Omar Abdullah Government during the past six years and will leave no stone unturned to expose those political parties and political leaders who chose their political rehabilitation over the rehabilitation of the flood affected victims. “We have delivered a term of impeccably honest and transparent governance to the people and have set new benchmarks for infrastructure, economic and financial growth for J&K. Huge leaps have been made in the power sector and strides were made in creating thousands of kilometers of new roads, adding hundreds of new bridges and dozens of State-of-the-art District and Sub-District Hospitals while every single Tertiary Care Hospital in the City stands upgraded to state-of-the-art status during the last six years of Omar Abdullah’s tenure as the Chief Minister of J&K”, the NC general secretary said.
“Thousands of new entrepreneurs were supported in their endeavors by the Omar Abdullah Government while Tourism saw a record growth year after year with unprecedented asset creation and growth in the Private Sector resulting in  creation of thousands of new jobs,” he said adding that  thousands of unemployed youth were also absorbed in various Government departments.
The NC general secretary also highlighted the performance of the Omar Abdullah Government in the field of Primary, Secondary and Higher Education.
