NC unit in Leh back in place after 12 years: Omar

SRINAGAR, Oct 24: National Conference Working President, Omar Abdullah today  congratulated the new National Conference Party unit in Leh for the party’s efforts and performance in the LAHDC polls and also felicitated the party’s winning candidates from Turtuk and Lower Leh.
The NC Working President also congratulated NC’s newly appointed District President Leh, Sonam Wangdus for the efforts and performance of the party unity in the LAHDC polls. He also hailed the efforts of Nazir Khan, Senior Vice President for Leh, Tsering Motup and Ghulam Haider – Vice Presidents and District Secretary, Tsering Wangchuk.
“The Party Unity was recently put back in place in Leh after a gap of 12 years and I congratulated the party leaders and workers for winning the seats of Turtuk and Lower Leh after having the organizational setup back in place after more than a decade”, the NC Working President said in a statement.
He also thanked the people for their continued faith in the democratic process and called upon the victorious candidates to fulfill the promises made to the people and to serve them with honesty and dedication.
The NC Working President said the party would continue with its vision of upholding the integrity and unity of the State and would endeavor to defeat divisive elements who harbor plans of sowing seeds of division in the State. NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar and NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani have also congratulated the Party Unit in Leh and the winning candidates from the party in the LAHDC polls and termed this as a humble yet encouraging and significant beginning towards a future of consolidating the party’s position in Ladakh.
