NC protests against increasing dengue cases

KATHUA, Oct 15: The activists of National Conference (NC) held a demonstration against the district administration for its failure to control the spreading of dengue in Kathua district.
The protest was led by its block president, JP Singh in front of DC office and protestors raised slogans against the State Government and district administration.
While carrying the party flags and raising the hands chanting the slogans against the Government they alleged it failed to contain the epidemic. Addressing the protestors JP Singh and Mukhtyar Singh alleged that the district administration is sleeping and no serious action has been taken by it to control the speedy spreading out Dengue in Kathua district. They alleged that three people died and more than two hundreds people are so far suffering from dengue fever.
Even the GMC Jammu also declared six positive cases of dengue in Kathua which were only three few week earlier. But the ground situation is that nearly three dozen people are getting treatment at Ludhiana , Amritsar and Jalandhar and some poor people are admitted at GMC Jammu .
The Health Department, Municipal Council and district administration did not pay any attention  to put a check on the spreading out of dengue. They warned the Government to take immediate necessary steps to control the dengue, fogging in entire Kathua ,and cleanness of sewage which are not so far silt out since last 25 years.
