NC, PDP, Cong responsible for turmoil in Kashmir: Kavinder

JAMMU, Jan 16: Taking a dig at Mehbooba Mufti for her statement for holding talks with militant groups and separatists, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that it is the frustration of former Chief Minister of the State that she has started talking the language of separatists.
Gupta said this in an interview to a private news channel. He blamed “political exploitation” of PDP, National Conference and Congress for the renewing turmoil in Kashmir valley.
Accusing NC-Congress and PDP for playing with the sentiments of Kashmir people, he said these are the parties who are responsible for the turmoil in Kashmir. They are now supporting the anti national elements and polarizing the situation in the State.
Asking the people to teach all such parties a lesson for their misdeeds and breaking promises, Gupta said all the three parties have sold the dreams of autonomy, self rule and dialogue for peace with dignity but have done nothing to bring peace and prosperity to the State. He said time has come for the people to close the chapter for all those who have been exploiting them for the last seventy years.
On the question of talks with the separates and militant groups as advocated by Mehbooba Mufti, Gupta said that BJP Government at the centre is ready for talks with anyone who is ready to hold talks as per the constitution of India. He said she has fallen back on the soft separatism card just to get sympathy on communal lines and garner votes in the upcoming Assembly and parliamentary elections.
To the question of terming local militants as “sons of the soil” by Mufti, Gupta said she has humiliated the Indian security forces by issuing such statement on Army Day.
