NC OBC Cell discusses demands of community

JAMMU, Feb 13: A meeting of OBC Cell of J&K National Conference (NC) was held at Gangyal during which various demands and issues of the OBC community were discussed in detail.
The meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Abdul Gani Teli, Co- Chairman of the Cell, and was attended by a large number of people in general and OBC in particular, discussed demands like raising of Income Slab criteria of creamy layer from Rs 4.50 lakh to Rs 6 lakh per annum and issuance of permanent OBC Certificate like SC/ ST.
The speakers also stressed for implementation of 27% reservation in the State as per Mandal Commission report, nomination of members of OBC communities in various District Development Boards/ Corpora-tions, provision of funds for OBC people in SC/ ST/ OBC Development Financial Corporation, making functional the OBC Development Advisory Board.
