NC gears up for convention

SRINAGAR, Sept 30: National Conference  today reviewed the preparations for the party’s  State level delegates’ convention scheduled to be held in Srinagar in ending October.
Presiding over the meeting at National Conference head office, here today, party  general secretary  Ali Mohd Sagar asked the party leaders to ensure all preparations are in place well in time and party delegates from all the three regions of the State attend the convention in Srinagar.
The meeting was also attended by NC provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani,  vice president Mohd Ramzan, senior leaders Shamima Firdous, Mohd Sayeed Akhoon and Provincial secretary Showkat Ahmed Mir.
Sagar said that the convention would be an opportunity to delve on serious challenges facing the State and its people especially with regard to the onslaught on Article 35-A and Article 370 and the steps being taken by the party to evolve a unified, strong consensus on the grassroot level on these sensitive issues. He reviewed various arrangements which are underway and asked the party leaders to ensure all facilities for the delegates.
