SRINAGAR: A delegation of National Conference led by Farooq Abdullah met Governor Satya Pal Malik and discussed about strengthening of sports infrastructure at grass root level with emphasis on promoting sports and extra-curricular activities in schools.
A Public Relation Officer of Raj Bhavan said a delegation of NC-led by Dr Abdullah, who is the president of the party and Member of Parliament, met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan here on Saturday.
He said Dr Abdullah also discussed with Mr Malik about strengthening of sports infrastructure at grass root level with emphasis on promoting sports and extra-curricular activities in schools.
The NC president urged the Governor for constitution of a Golf Authority in the State which could be entrusted with the responsibility of maintenance of golf courses besides promotion of golf in the State. (AGENCIES)
