JAMMU, Jan 29: The Navdal Tirath Prabhandak Committee Tral was rechristened as Temples and Shrines Committee of Tral and Awantipora.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the Kashmiri Pandits belonging to tehsils of Tral and Awantipora here today.
The meeting said the decision was taken to give a larger scope to the organization and to bring within its ambit all the temples, shrines and other religious places of two tehsils.
Addressing the meeting head of the Sub Committee Advocate C L Bhat said that the Committee had received wider representations in this regard from community members from the area.
The meeting was addressed by T K Bhat, H L Bhat, Dr B L Koul, Prof H L Bhat, Dr Ramesh Bhat, S N Pandita and R K Koul.
