Natrang’s Summer Theatre Camp for children concludes

Jammu, July 16: Natrang’s popular Summer Theatre camp-2016 for children concluded here today with an impressive performance of ‘School Days’, a new devised play in Hindi, at Abhinav Theatre Jammu.
The play was conceived, designed and directed by Sumeet Sharma who has been doing meaningful theatre with children consistently for the last thirteen years and has inspired hundreds of children to enhance their personalities through theatre.
Sangeeta Gupta IRS, Principal Commissioner Income Tax was the Chief Guest on the occasion who lauded Natrang’s earnest efforts to make our State culturally and theatrically and artistically vibrant. She complimented the parents for promoting their children the field of art and culture.
RK Gupta, Director J&K Bank was the special guest on the occasion and prominent among those who were present who honored the occasion with their esteemed presence included Arun Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan, Prof. Lalit Magotra, Eminent Dogri Writer, Vikrant Sharma, Programming Head 92.7 Big FM and Naveen Chopra.
Natrang Director Padmashree Balwant Thakur, in his welcome speech explained the concept of Natrang’s Children Theatre and how effectively, for the last 26 years, it has helped shaping the personalities of thousands of children who are now doing very well not only in theatre, films, television but in other fields also.
At the culmination of the performance the participating children were honored by Natrang and the honours were done by the Chief Guest of the evening Mrs Sangeeta Gupta and R. K Gupta, Director J&K Bank. Those who received appreciation certificates  included Sanchita Dubey, Shreya Gupta, Sanyam Gupta, Saba Jamwal, Sumedha Manhas, Sohi Sharma, Asma Gul, Vrinda Pawar, Vedhant Suri, Shambhavi Sharma, Jaanvika Narchal, Swaranjali Sambyal, Rudra Kohli, Saransh Sharma, Aashima Gupta, Shivesh Gupta, Kushaan Baliya, Sarthak Gupta, Anubhav Sharma, Mrinaal Shaminotra, Avni Gupta, Ria Sambyal, Karan Sahib Singh, Shubhankar Sobani, Ishwari Goswami, Satyam Mehra, Shruti Sharma, Sparishta Sharma, Hardik Gupta, Sanvedya Gupta, Aviral Kapoor, Vaibhav Suri, Hardik Dutta, Triambak Kapoor, Rannvijay Singh Charak, Yashica Bandral, Aanandita Sethi, Gun Sethi, , Mannan Soni, Mannat Soni, Vanika Gupta and Aryan Sharma. The music was operated by Brijesh Avtaar Sharma and the lights were designed by Pankaj Sharma and operated by Suraj Ganjoo.  Mohd. Yaseen and Kritika Singh looked after the backstage management and the hall management was looked after by Rahul Singh, Rajan Thakyal, Mahikshit Singh, Vishal Sharma, Rishav Sharma, Shivam Singh and Nikhil Dubey. Agam Kaur, Sanya Gupta, Aarushi Thakur and Gauri Thakur did the presentations.
