JAMMU, July 11: Natrang is going to organize 3rd festival of the year from July 18 here at Abhinav Theatre.
Giving details, Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur, in a press conference at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu, informed that in connection with the celebrations of 35 glorious years of Natrang, the organization is going to organize third theatre festival featuring four theatre productions by different directors of Natrang.
Accompanied by senior functionaries of Natrang viz Anil Tickoo, Sanjeev Gupta and Sumeet Sharma, Balwant Thakur, said the festival will open with globally acclaimed Moliere’s French Comedy in Hindustani ’Kauva Chala Hans Ki Chal on July 18 under the direction of Sumeet Sharma at 6 PM at Abhinav Theatre.
On July 19, children play ‘Na Teri Na Meri will be presented under the direction of Sumeet Sharma, which Natrang has produced in its annual Children Theatre Workshop-2018 whereas on 3rd day of the festival i.e. on July 20, Shanker Shesh’s Hindi play ‘Fandi’ will be presented under the direction of Mipham Otsal. The festival will conclude on July 21 with Shakespeare’s acclaimed play ’A Mid Summer Nights Dream’ under the direction of Aarushi Thakur Rana.
The first festival was organized between May 15 to 18 featuring ‘Bawa Jitto’, ’Twelfth Night’, Kasak’ and ‘Mind Games’ under the direction of Balwant Thakur, Aarushi Thakur Rana, Rahul Singh and Sumeet Sharma, respectively. The second festival was organized between June 19 to 22 featuring ‘Romeo Juliet ’Aap Hamaare Hain Kaun, ’Mata Ki Kahani’ and ’Ghumayee’ under the direction of Aarushi Thakur Rana and Balwant Thakur.
