Natrang stages ‘Shikaar’

JAMMU, Sept 15: A new comedy play in Hindi, ‘Shikaar’ featured here today at Natrang Studio in Sunday Theatre Series.
Decorated with a situational comedy the play was written by Charanjeet and directed by Neeraj Kant.
The play opens at the home of one ‘Parkash’ where his sister-in-law and brother-in-law have made a trap to play Holi with him. As he is much afraid of the colours and water, he delays his arrival at home which makes circumstances for them to discuss negative about him. They create baseless apprehensions about him in their minds and also indulge their sister into it. After  waiting for ‘Parkash’ for long they all decide to go for sleep, taking benefit of the darkness, Parkash (who was hiding outside) enters home but was spotted by his wife who thinks him to be a thief and starts shouting and crying for help. Listening to this,  the neighbours rush for help. After a thorough search, they find the thief who was ‘Parkash’ indeed. Everyone laughs at his cowardly act and the family plays Holi with him in their own style making him realize that festivals are to be celebrated with open heart and there in no point in not looking at the happiness and festivities around us.
Natrang actors who acted in the play included  Ashwani Bali, Vineet Sharma, Sachin Saini,  Neha Sharma, Syed Mudassar Ali Shah and Pankaj Verma. Lights were operated by Uplaksh Singh Kotwal and Music was scored by Bhupesh Malhotra . The sets were designed by Mohd  Yaseen, Sajra Qadir presented the show before the audience. The show was coordinated by Sumeet Sharma.
