JAMMU, Sept 2: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged Hindi play ‘Poorav Aur Paschim’ written by famous film comedian I.S Johar and directed by Balwant Thakur.
The play ‘Poorav Aur Paschim’ showcased the contrast of beliefs between the east and the west world. Lala Ram Bharose and his wife were highly superstitious but their married son and daughters believed in reasoning, logics and scientific ways of life.
A firm believer of horoscopes and stars, Ram Bharose always remained surrounded by fortune tellers and priests. Confusion starts in the family when a horoscope reader by mistake predicts early death of Ram Bharose and informs that the killer will give him something in white colour.
