JAMMU, July 16: Children theatre festival ‘Celebrating Childhood’ was inaugurated at Abhinav Theatre with an impressive performance of the play by children ‘Milawat Ke Liye Khed Hai’, conceived and directed by Sumeet Sharma.
Today’s play ‘Milawat Ke Liye Khed Hai’ was a thoughtfully conceived and discreetly structured presentation which featured around 55 children in such a manner that they all could get plentiful ambience to exhibit their innate talent which was brilliantly honed during Natrang’s Children Theatre Workshop – 2017.
Natrang organized this workshop with the support of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi. The play contained myriad emotions which were depicted through three different stories which were blended in such a manner that the element of adulteration (Milawat) in the stories appeared essential rather than hazardous as other kinds of adulteration. Other than presenting the instances of wit, humour, laughter and drama, the play carried a very strong message about saving the environment as the threat of pollution, global warming, deterioration of nature etc would make the planet earth misfit for life.
