JAMMU, Oct 11: Bharat Vikas Parishad Talab Tillo branch, organized National Group song competition at JK Montessorie British school here today.
Number of schools of the area participated in the competition and the schools included BHMPS, JKMS, Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Nowabad, DBN Amarvilla and Co-operative Public School.
The Programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by chief guest, Dr Santosh Gupta, Regional Secretary Sanskar, Amita Sharma and State President, Arun Sharma.
The students presented patriotic group songs from the book ‘Chetna Ke Swar’ in Hindi & Sanskrit Category.
The judges of the competition were Arun Sharma and Yash Paul Yash, who adjudged the participants on the basis of their pronunciation, rhythm, music composition, Swar, tal and mode of Presentation.
Among others present on the occasion were Rajeev Bhardwaj Branch President, Alok Sharma Branch Secretary, Jagdish Sharma Patron, Geeta Dixit Principal JKMS, Rajni Gupta Director Academics and Vandna Gupta Co-ordinator of the school.
The 1st prize was won by DBN Amarvilla, 2nd prize was secured by JK Montessorie British School, whereas the third prize was clinched by Govt. Girls Hr. Secondary School Nowabad.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of the students and expressed his gratitude for the school management in organizing the competition.
Finally, vote of thanks was presented by Rajeev Bhardwaj, President of Talab Tillo Branch.
