Nashri tunnel which is Asia’s longest road tunnel known for its sophisticated ventilation system is occupied by dust and pollution as the ventilation system is not working properly. Earlier also, commuters complained of poor visibility and suffocation. It is of prime concern for those suffering from lung diseases and even healthy people are at risk. Passing through this tunnel seems like passing through gas chamber. NHAI officers were intimated but nothing positive happened so far. So it’s not safe to travel through tunnel unless ventilation system is restored and concerned authorities are requested to take action in this regard.
