UDHAMPUR, Sept 17: Udhampur Police today arrested a narcotics smuggler from Bansa Morh in Tikri and seized 1.5kg of charas from his possession.
Based on reliable information, a Police party, led by SHO Rehambal Inspr Paramjeet Singh and assisted by Incharge PP Tikri, SI Sanjeet Sharma, laid surprise naka at Bansa Morh, near Tikri and intercepted the accused, namely Sadiq Hussain son of Abdul Karim of Sundrani, Tikri. During the search, 1.5kg of charas was recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused on the spot and seized the recovered charas.
In this connection, a case FIR number 132/18 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation of the case is going on.
