JAMMU, Oct 22: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler along with 650 grams ganja from Punnu Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Akhnoor Police Station.
A police spokesman said that, a party from Akhnoor Police Station laid a naka at Punnu Chowk and intercepted a pedestrian namely Monu Prasad, son of Radhey Lal of Rajangarh, tehsil Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh.
During checking, police recovered 650 grams ganja and arrested the narcotic smuggler.
A case under FIR number 217/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
