Nanda takes stock of public grievances

REASI, Nov 5: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda, today conducted extensive tour of Bhaga Kotli and adjoining areas and took stock of public grievances besides reviewing development works.
The people apprised the Minister of various issues related to welfare and development of their respective areas seeking an early redressal to the same. They sought his intervention in speedy execution of various development works in their areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister asked the people to remain connected with officers of various departments so that the welfare schemes and programmes of State and Central Government are effectively implemented for their larger interest.
The Minister said social security, basic facility to the poor and good governance are priorities of the Government for which a vigorous campaign has been launched throughout the State.
The Minister further said that concerted efforts are being made by bank branches to link Adhaar numbers with the accounts in order to provide maximum benefit to the  people in a transparent way.
Responding to improvement of 3 km stretch of Reasi-Katra road, the Minister said that the blacktopping work on it is in progress and is expected to be completed soon.
The Minister assured the people that necessary action would be taken up to resolve their issues in a time bound manner.
The Minister was accompanied by officers and local people of the area.
