Nanda lays foundation stone of development works

REASI, Sept 2: In its endeavor to free the district from the menace of open defecation, the district administration has identified 300 poor beneficiaries of the town for financial assistance for construction of toilet cum bathrooms.
Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today informed this while addressing different public gatherings during his one day tour to the district.
Later, the Minister laid foundation stone for construction of lanes and drains with an estimated cost of Rs.7. 40 lakh at Ward No. 1.
The Minister was accompanied by officers of Municipality and district administration.
The Minister expressed satisfaction over the the pace of various ongoing works and other programmes launched by the Municipality and Urban Development Department in the district.
Later, the Minister visited Kalika Temple Nai Basti where he laid foundation stone for Rs.13.54 lakh toilet complex.
He also dedicated 100 KVA power sub-station to people of Deva Mai Chowk at Nomain.
While interacting with the people, the Minister said that Government is endeavoring to augment and streamline the power network and distribution system all over the State.
