Nanda lays foundation of development works in Katra town

REASI, Sept 30: Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today toured   Katra town and laid the foundation of development works worth Rs 70 lakh.
The Minister was accompanied by SDM Katra Neelam Khajuria and several officers and officials of Municipality.
The major development works among others include renovation of lanes in localities along Railway road to Broadway hotel costing Rs 12 lakh, upgrading work of road, lane and drain worth Rs 34 lakh in various other parts of the township.
The Minister also visited Ward No-3 and inaugurated the lane renovation work completed in one month at an estimated cost of Rs 3.50 lakh. He also addressed a gathering of local people in ward No-11.
He said that various other development works including renovation of lanes and drains would be started in main bazaar to facilitate local people and tourists. The Minister also assured the people that work of repairing Darshni Deodi would also be taken up soon.
The Minister passed instructions to the executing agency for time bound completion of all development works ongoing in the Katra town and other to be started soon.
He reiterated that the Government is working effectively to realize good governance and reach out all sections of the society as per the slogan of Prime Minister- ‘Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas’.
Earlier, the Minister also dedicated 63 KVA transformer to the people  at Malair, installed at an estimated cost of Rs 3 lakh to benefit scores of households of panchyat Saloon.
