Nanda distributes prizes as NCC lifts Reasi Police T20 title

REASI, Jan 4: National Cricket Club defeated Star India Cricket Club (SICC), Thanpal by 4 wickets to lift the title trophy of T20 Cricket Tournament, as part of Sports Tournament, organized by District Police Reasi, under Civic Action Programme (CAP), here.
Ajay Nanda, Minister of State for Finance & Planning, IT, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, CA&PD, Tribal Affairs and Relief & Rehabilitation was chief guest of the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Surinder Gupta, IGP In-charge Udhampur-Reasi Range, Tahir Sajad Bhat, SSP Reasi, Sanjay Singh Rana, SP Reasi, Babu Ram, ADC Reasi, Commandant CISF, Commandant CRPF, Tehsildar Reasi, besides Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman, Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi and Jugal Kishore Sharma, DySP DAR Reasi.
Star India Cricket Club (SICC) Thanpal won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, SICC scored a paltry total of 94 runs in 19.3 overs.
The target of 95 runs in 20 overs was given to National Cricket Club Reasi which was chased by NCC after losing 6 wickets in 15.1 overs, thus claiming the title trophy. The man of the match was given to Dev Karan Singh, who took 6 wickets in this match and man of series was given to Shubam of Star India Cricket Club Thanpal for his 12 wickets and 230 runs during T20 series.
The winners were presented a cash prize of Rs 10,000 alongwith a trophy, while the runners-up team was given a cash prize of Rs.6, 000 alongwith a trophy.  Man of the series Shubam was presented a cash prize of Rs 2,000 alongwith a trophy.
The prizes were also distributed among the teams of other sports activities namely Kho-Kho, Discus Throw, Shot Put, Javelin Throw etc. which were played under Civic Action Programme during Sports Meet at Sports Stadium Reasi.
