Nanda conducts extensive tour of rural areas

REASI Nov 5: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, FCS & CA, IT, Labour and Employment and Relief and Rehabilitation Ajay Nanda today conducted extensive tour of rural areas and listened to the people’s problems and launched development works.
The Minister visited  Bhambla and Laiter areas and laid foundation stone for tractor road from GREF camp to Sadoti in Block Pouni and held  a public meeting to resolve issues of the locals.
He also kick started the blacktopping of road at Dadoa Laiter and inspected the sites of proposed link road and Shamshan Ghats at Godhar.
The proposed tractor road would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 7 lakh under MGNREGA in convergence with CDF. It will provide connectivity to three villages of Sadoti, Bhagot Jageer and Bhagot Kalsa.
Pertinently, the Minister has already sanctioned Rs 2 lakh from his CD Fund for the construction of the road.
Later, the Minister convened a public meeting at Panchyat Ghar Laiter in which locals demanded augmentation of water supply, link roads in interior of the villages, old age and widow pensions and special recruitment camps. The villagers also expressed    satisfaction over installation of transformers and water hand pumps in the Bhambla and Laiter areas.
While responding to the demands, the Minister said that all issues and projected demands will be resolved in due course of time after taking up the same with concerned officers.   He also mentioned about measures taken by the present dispensation to ensure good governance and improve ground level working.
Nanda reiterated that State Government has taken up several projects to improve road network in all parts of the State which holds the key to socio economic development of the areas. In this regard, he directed the concerned officers to ensure effective implementation of all the programmes being run by the Government.
Meanwhile, the Minister appealed the locals to avail the benefits of all the schemes including Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Fasal Bima Yojana, Swach Bharat Mission, PM Ujwala Yojana, ASRA and various other schemes responsible for overall development of people.
In his day long tour, the Minister also kick started macadamization work of Godhar road in Panchyat Bhambla at estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh under MGNREGA. Besides he also inspected the proposed alignment for approach road and sites for two Shamshan Ghats at Godhar each involving Rs 1 lakh to be provided from CDF.
