KATRA, Feb 20: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda chaired a meeting of Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Simiti (RKS) of Katra, Adh Kawari, Bhawan, Panthal and Miyari health today.
Among others, SDM Neelam Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. L.D. Bhagat, Dy CMO, Block Medical Officer and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
A threadbare discussion was held on various issues related to the functioning of these institutions, including up-gradation of existing facilities, infrastructure, staff position, cleanliness, waste management system, drainage system, adequate supply of clean drinking water and electricity.
The Minister gave approval to various initiatives like internal repair works of the institutions, purchase of essential medicines, equipments; white washing of New Type PHC building at Panthal, repair of water pipes, electric works etc. He directed the concerned to ensure better medicare facilities to the patients in the hospital and medical aid centers. He directed for speeding up the pace of ongoing construction works and ensuring their completion within a stipulated time frame.
Later, the Minister also laid foundation stone of health sub-center building and doctors’ quarters at Manoon to be constructed at an estimated cost of 99.78 lakhs.
