Nagri-Kathua road turns accident prone

KATHUA, Dec 27:   The road accidents  have become common on the Nagri-Kathua road due to worse condition of  road.
The vehicle drivers face problems due to lack of  better road connectivity and most of time the vehicle tyre get  burst in broken road having large  potholes  and broken patches.  The vehicles operating on the Nagri Road always face dangerous situation. The condition of road and bridge at Nagari is also  in worse condition. The vehicle operators take abrupt cuts to save themselves from ditches and sometime, the bikers or other vehicles get collided.  This entire road has turned accident prone.

The accidents on this road are routine and passengers faces injuries number of times . The Nagari town road is under taken by GREF since last year to construct but it is lying abandoned. The road connecting to neighbouring  Punjab state from National Highway at Palli Morh, having mere ten feet widen road with broken surfaces all over.  Two vehicles can not take pass on the pucca road being narrow.
Sunil Kumar, a local  said that despite the regular protests held by the people and having approached to District administration, no  one takes care of  it. The people are worried of such condition of road and the bridge is also in danger as the protection wall of the road and bridge also damaged.
The local people demanded to repair  this road which is under GREF  and next portion from Nagari to Kathua is under State PWD authorities.
