Naeem visits Sheikhpora Pandit Colony

SRINAGAR, Feb 20: Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar, today visited Pandit Colony in Sheikhpora, Budgam to review facilities ahead of Mahashivratri Festival.
During the visit, the Minister reviewed status of under-construction additional blocks of the residential colony. He was briefed that 96 new flats are under construction at a cost of Rs 30 crore and 200 families are already residing in the area since 2008.
On the occasion, Akhtar interacted with various Pandit families of the colony and gave a patient hearing to their grievances and assured them of early redress.  He also extended his greetings to the Pandit community on the eve of Mahashivratri Festival.
District Development Commissioner Budgam, officials from JKPCC, PWD and other concerned accompanied the Minister.
