SAMBA, Nov 28: Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar today conducted surprise inspection of several Government schools in district Samba.
During the visit, the Minister inspected Government Higher Secondary School Jakh, Government Middle School Jakh, Government High School Sunjwan, Government Middle School Abdullah Basti and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Samba.
The Minister took round of the libraries, laboratories, classrooms and interacted with students and teaching faculty.
The Minister asked the teachers to use innovative and latest techniques for teaching to generate curiosity among the students. He said the teachers should teach by illustrating common examples or happenings and focus on spoken English and hand writing. He further directed the teachers to check notebooks regularly and point out corrections to the students. He directed for providing remedial classes for students weak in studies and incentives for outstanding students to encourage them to excel further.
The Minister directed Principal GHSS Jakh to form English speaking club in the school and make efficient use of school playground.
At Middle School Jakh, the Minister directed the teachers for involving students while imparting audio visual sessions and make learning a two way process.
The Minister was impressed with promise shown by Sadia Bibi and Keshav Verma of class 6th of GHS Sunjwan and gave away cash prize of Rs 1000 each to them.
The Minister directed CEO Samba to sanction boundary wall and school building repairs for MS Abdullah Basti. He also directed CEO Samba to rationalize staff in schools and make sure that teachers prepare lesson plan on regular basis.
The Minister directed for strict adherence to his directions and gave one month deadline for implementing the same.
