Jammu, Sept 27: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer team visited the MIER College of Education (Autonomous) for the 3rd Cycle recently.
The three-member team comprised of Prof. Smriti Swarup, Former Dean and Director, Department of Special Education, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai (Chairperson), Prof. K.B. Budhori, Former Head & Dean, Faculty of Education, HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar (Member Coordinator) and Dr. N. Muthaiah, Former Principal Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education and Dean, Faculty of Disability Management and Special Education, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education (Member).
Dr. Renu Gupta, Principal of the College gave a comprehensive presentation about the functioning of the College and informed the visiting team about the progress made on all the quality parameters as per the guidelines of NAAC. Angela Gadroo, Incharge IQAC also made a presentation about the functioning of the cell.
The Peer team visited all the departments, centers, units, the learning resources like the libraries and ICT services. They also visited student support services including Special/Inclusive school, Rehabilitation Centre, Examination cell, Administrative wing, Teaching Practice school, Hostel, and Canteen etc.
During the visit to the campus the team interacted with the faculty members, non-teaching staff, students, alumni, and parents. The team also interacted with the august members of the different bodies of the College namely Board of Directors, Governing Body, Academic Council and Board of Studies.
