RAJOURI, Apr 17: Mystery shrouds the death of a young GREF worker whose body was recovered from a nallah this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Ishaq, son of Nizam Din, resident of Dhar Jakhri in Kotranka (Kandi) area. The body was found lying in a nallah near his village. He was returning home from his work last evening and went missing. The family kept searching for him during the night.
A villager noticed body lying in the nallah and informed residents of the area. They further reported the matter to police. Kotranka police party led by SHO Haji Nissar reached there and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem.
The people of the area blocked road at around 9 am near Mandar Galla on Rajouri-Budhal road and started protest. They alleged that Ishaq was murdered and his body thrown into the nallah. They were also demanding immediate arrest of the accused persons.
The SHO later moved to the area and assured the residents that case would be solved soon with the arrest of accused persons. Later, they lifted dharna after five hours.
