Myanmar national arrested with ganja

JAMMU, July 9: Police under Operation Sanjeevani arrested a Myanmar national along with three kilograms of ganja.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team apprehended a Myanmar national along with three kilograms ganja from Karyani Talab area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bahu Fort police station.
The arrested person has been identified as Ibrahim Khalil, son of Lt Abdur Rehman of Myanmar, at present Jalalabad, Bathindi.
The consignment was meant to be sold among the youth and with the arrest of drug peddler, police achieved a major success to save the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 158/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Bahu Fort police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SDPO East Arun Jamwal and Incharge Narwal police post SI Waseem Mehraj made the arrest under the supervision of SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
