JAMMU, Oct 2: Muzaffar Bhat and Dimple Kumar shared the first prize as they were declared the winner of wall painting competition organized recently by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
The names of winners and runners up of the competition were announced at a function organized to mark the third anniversary of ‘Swacch Bharat Mission’ and conclusion of fortnightly ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign’ with Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh as the chief Guest. Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta and Minister of State for Tourism, Culture and Education Priya Sethi were also present on the occasion.
Ajay Kumar and Ashima were declared as first and second runners, respectively.
The DyCM gave away cash award of Rs 20,000, Rs 15000 and Rs 10000 with Trophies   to the first three winners, respectively. Other participants were also felicitated by presenting mementoes and certificates of participation.
The young painters through their art have portrayed the rich culture of State and conveyed message about hazards of social evils like female feticide, crime against women, drug abuse, pollution and unclean surroundings.
