JAMMU, Oct 4: Inter District, Divisiona, Zonal and School Level Competitions being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports in various disciplines were played at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter District Divisional Level Athletic Meet of Jammu division for boys under all age groups concluded at University of Jammu. On the occasion, Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest.
In under-14 (100 meters), Jeetain of Jammu District, Muskan Ali of Kathua and Roshan Lal of Samba bagged first, second and third positions respectively, while in under-17 (100 meters),  Taman Deep Singh of Jammu, Ajay Kumar of Samba and Harsha Salaria of Kathua clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 (100 meters), Randhir Singh of Jammu,  Abhishek Sharma of Kathua and Shahzad Ahmad of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-14 (200 meters), Mohammad Asif of Jammu,  Maskeen Ali of Kathua and   Aman of Samba clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 (200 meters), Tarandeep Singh of Jammu, Aslam Hussain of Samba and Suresh Kumar of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-19 (200 meters),   Gunjeet Singh of Jammu,  Vishal Choudhary of Samba and Abhishek Sharma of Kathua secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 (400 meters),  Akashdeep of Jammu,  Gourav Atri of Udhampur and Zaker Ahmed of Rajouri bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-17 (400 meters),  Mushtaq Ali of Samba, Balbir Singh of Jammu and  Mohammad Yousif of Rajouri clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 (400 meters), Randeep Singh of Jammu, Manjeet Singh of Kathua and Nitish Choudhary of Samba clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 Discuss Throw, Ajay Singh of Samba, Raman Kumar of Jammu and Balvinder Singh of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, Mukhtar Ali of Jammu, Mohammad Faiz of Kathua and Suresh Kumar of Udhampur clinched first, second and third positions respectively and in under-19 category, Angil Singh of Jammu, Rajat Kashdeepman Kumar of Jammu and Balvinder Singh of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 Long Jump, Sunny of Udhampur, Sahil Kumar of Kathua and Arun Singh of Samba bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category,  Rahul Singh of Udhampur,  Aman Jangral of Samba and Akash Sharma of Kathua secured first, second and third positions respectively and in under-19 category, Abhishek Sharma of Kathua, Pankaj Sharma of Jammu and Sikander Singh of Samba bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 (5000 meters), Ajay Kumar of Jammu, Rahul Mangotra of Samba and Rakesh of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-19 (1500 meters), Mashgoor Hussan of Udhampur,  Ankush Singh of Kathua and Pankaj Singh of Samba bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in under-19 (800 meters), Manohar Lal of Kathua,  Gourav Verma of Jammu and Mohammad Yaqoob of Udhampur secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 (800 meters), Liaqat Ali of Kathua, Abhishek Singh of Udhampur and Anshu Sharma of Samba bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-14 (600 meters), Suraj Rajput of Jammu,  Mohammad Yusaf of Kathua and Sandeep Singh of Udhampur clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 Shot Put, Abinesh Sharma of Kathua, Jysurya of Samba and Sourav of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, Mohammad Sharuq of Kathua, Karma of Jammu and Paryas Karloopia of Samba secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 Shot Put, Shabir Ahmed of Samba, Mohammad Saleem of Jammu and Harish Sharma of Kathua bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 High Jump, Sourav Kumar of Jammu, Mohammad Maroof of Udhampur and Mohammad Akram of Samba secured first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, Mohammad Zafeed of Udhampur and Manu Sharma of Jammu secured first and second positions respectively and in under-14 category, Maskeen Ali of Kathua, Muzamil Choudhary of Jammu and Rohit Kumar of Samba bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 (4×400 Relay), Jammu District, Samba District and Udhampur District bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 Javelin Throw, Mustafa Farooq of Jammu, Shubam of Samba and Ajay of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively, while in under-17 category, Surjeet of Kathua, Bhanu Sharma of Jammu and Varinder Singh of Udhampur bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 Triple Jump, Pankaj Sharma of Jammu, Sachin Sharma of Samba and  Arun Kumar of Udhampur secured first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, Harish Kumar of Jammu and  Yogesh Sharma of Kathua clinched first and second positions respectively.
UDHAMPUR: District Level Inter Zonal-cum-Inter School Athletic meet for under-14, 17 and 19 girls concluded here at Sports Stadium.
In 100 meters, Sonali Sharma of Zone Majalta remained first by defeating Manisha Thakur of Zone Kulwanta in under-14 category, while Mamta Devi of Majalta Zone defeated Anju Devi of Zone Babey in under-17 category whereas Pooja Devi of GHSS Barola remained first in under-19 category by defeating Razia Begum of GHSS Krimchi.
In 200 meters, Arti Devi of Zone Majalta remained first by defeating Arti Devi of Zone Jib in under-14 category, while Sharda Dev of Zone Jib clinched first position by defeating Taheera Begum of Majalta in under-17 category, whereas as under-19 category, Priya Rajput of GHSS Girls Udhampur remained first and Pooja Devi of GHSS Barola remained runner up.
In 400 meters, Esha Devi of Zone Babey bagged first position, while Babli Devi of Kulwanta remained runner up in under-14 category, in under-17 category, Priya Sharma of Zone Majalta defeated  Shazia Akhater of Zone Udhampur whereas Shoba Devi of GHSS Ghordi remained first and Pooja Devi of GHSS Udhampur remained runner up in under-19 category.
In 600 meters, Rimpi Devi of Zone Jib defeated Avantika of Zone Majalta in under-14 category.
In 800 meters, Ashu Rani of Zone Babey remained first while Vandana Devi remained runner up in under-17 category whereas in under-19 category, Razi of GHSS Krimchi clinched first position by defeating Seeran Rani of GHSS Udhampur.
In Long Jump, Neetu Devi of Zone Majalta bagged first position by defeating Shivali of Zone Babey in under-14 category, whereas in under-17 category, Arti of Zone Udhampur clinched first position by defeating Priya of Zone Majalta and in under-19 category, Ashu Devi of GHSS Khoon remained winner.
In High Jump, Omti Devi of Zone Udhampur, Sonali of Tikri and Veena of GHSS Udhampur emerged winners in under-14, 17 and 19 categories respectively, whereas in Discuss Throw, Archana of Tikri, Neha of Zone Babey and Raksha Katoch of GHSS Udhampur remained winners in under-14, 17 and 19 categories respectively.
In Shot Put, Shivali of Babey Zone, Jyotu of Jib and Raksha Katoch of GHSS Udhampur stood first in under-14, 17 and 19 categories respectively.
REASI: Divisional Level Inter-District Wrestling Championship for under-14, 17 and 19 boys got underway in which wrestlers from Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Doda, Udhampur and Reasi District are participating at Kalka Wrestling Akhara Reasi.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council and President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association inaugurated the Championship alongwith Captain Lehar Singh as the guest of honour. Suram Singh, a renowned wrestling-lover was the special guest on the occasion.
In under-19 category, Ravi Kumar of Jammu emerged winner and Manjeet Singh of Doda remained runner-up in 42-46 kgs category, whereas in 46-50 kgs category, Dalair Singh of Udhampur emerged winner, while Vipan Singh of Reasi remained runner up and in 50-55 kgs category. Aman Sandhu of Jammu defeated Deepak Jagotra of Reasi.
In 55-60 kgs category, Shakeel Ahmed of Samba crushed Arjun Manhas of Jammu, in 60-66 kgs category, Mohammad Billa of Kathua defeated Mohammad Saleem of Udhampur, in 66-74 kgs category. Gulshan Chib of Jammu thrashed Raghu Sharma of Kathua, in 74-84 kgs category, Shabir Ahmed of Samba defeated Sunny Singh of Jammu, in 84-96 kgs category, Sunil Thapa of Samba emerged winner and in 96-120 kgs category, Liaquat Ali of Jammu emerged winner.
