JAMMU, Dec 15: Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, additional general secretary National Conference has charged the PDP-BJP coalition Government with failure on all fronts.
He was addressing NC workers cum public meeting, at Reasi town today in connection with 112th birth anniversary commemoration of late Sheikh Mohd Abdullah.
Dr Kamaal described the late leader as the architect of modern, secular and progressive Jammu and Kashmir State. “It was the late Sheikh Sahib that presided over the demise of over four centuries of autocratic rule which has reduced the inhabitants of this State as slaves bereft of even the basics of life,” he said.
Castigating the present Government, the NC leader said that it has two centers of power which are working in opposite directions thus adversely affecting the general public. “The only industry that is thriving is the transfer industry,” he said and alleged that the Chief Minister was holding public durbars for doling out money for non-priority petty works in the bargain incurring expenditure far in excess on convening such meetings and putting the people and the administration to avoidable inconvenience.
“This is unbecoming of the office she holds and is also tarnishing the dignity honor and fair image of this high office. Eccentricities are always counterproductive,” said Dr Kamaal.
Responding to the problems of the people as stated in the meeting,  Dr  Kamaal said it was present Govt’s inaction and discriminating way of functioning that people are suffering be it the dumping of malba  without compensation, lack of local employment in the under construction rail road to Kashmir, ration card problem of the nomadic Gujjar-Bakerwal population  etc. He assured that these problems will be projected to the Government of the day as also will be taken up in the State Legislature at the earliest.
Dr. Kamaal also termed the demonetization and GST as the biggest blunder of the Govt and a big tragedy for the people. He said the much touted slogan of “Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas” has become “Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vinash”.
He also expressed anguish and profound worry to the rapidly rising communal hatred in the country overtly and covertly being promoted by the ruling BJP and RSS, Bajrang Dal, VHP and others.
Rattan Lal Gupta, Babu Rampal, Jagjeevan Lal, Mohd Farooq Mughal and others also spoke on the occasion.
