Muslim Rashtriya Manch delegation meets Governor

JAMMU, Feb 16: A delegation of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, led by its State President, Nazir Ahmad Mir, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation apprised the Governor about the problems being faced by the public due to inadequacy of ration supplies, erratic drinking water and electricity supplies, poor upkeep of roads etc in Srinagar. They demanded widening of the road from Badshah Bridge to Safa Kadal in Srinagar, provision of adequate facilities to the Sikh and Muslim migrants on the same basis as the Kashmiri Pandit migrants.
The delegation also urged the Government to ensure against the loss of civilian lives during the operations carried out by the security forces.
Observing that he had noted their concerns the Governor urged the delegation to continue their endeavours for promoting peace and normalcy in the State.
