Muslim Federation appeals people to work together for peace

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 17:  Expressing serious concern over communal tension  following  Kishtwar violence, the Muslim Federation Jammu has appealed people to fight unitedly against the vicious elements who want to  divide people on communal lines in Jammu and Kashmir.
An extra-ordinary meeting of the Muslim Federation was held under the chairmanship of Talat Niaz Qazi who accused the right wing extremists  of  hatching a dubious plan to divide Hindus and Muslims on the auspicious occasion of Eid by engineering communal riots in Kishtwar.
Mr Qazi regretted that except making appeals for peace and communal harmony, no corresponding measures were taken to curb the activities of lumped elements.
He appealed people of Jammu not to become hostage of such communal elements and work  unitedly for maintaining peace and brotherhood.  Whatever happened in the past will not be allowed to repeat. All of us have to live together in harmony and work together to make our future bright, he added.
