Murdered man's body being dragged out of a gutter at Mendhar on Saturday.

MENDHAR, Feb 23: A man was allegedly murdered and his body dumped into a gutter by some unknown assailants in Mendhar area of district Poonch.
The deceased has been identified as Hasnain Ansari, resident of Chhapnari in Bihar. He was working as labourer in Mendhar area for the last many months. He was living along with his associate, Khushi Mohd at Darana in Mendhar. Three more labourers, namely Nandu Matta, Raj Kumar and Babu Ram, hailing from Chhapnari in Bihar were living as tenants in the nearby shops of one retired ZEO Sayed Akbar Khan.
Husnain Anasari’s son arrived Mendhar yesterday in search of his missing father. He inquired about his father from these three villagers from Chhapnari area. They disclosed that both Khushi Mohd and Hasnain had left for Bihar about a month back. The son however, claimed that he did not return home. Then he suspected something fishy and also inquired from the Ex-ZEO and his family members. He came to know that his father had some illicit relations with Khushi Mohd’s wife and they had quarrel on the issue several times.
They started search for missing man and opened lid of a gutter behind the shops during the process and found a body floating in it. Then they informed Mendhar police. SHO Mendhar Mahroof Badana and Tehsildar reached the spot. Body was fished out of the gutter. It had mutilated and swollen. The doctors conducted postmortem and found that limbs of the deceased had been broken. It was believed that man was murdered and then dumped into the gutter by Khushi Mohd who was absconding. He had also not there in his village in Bihar as well. The police registered a case under section 174 CrPC and started investigation. It also informed Bihar police about the matter.
