Srinagar: The Director State Vigilance Organization Muneer Ahmad Khan has been posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range replacing Syed Javid Mujtaba Gilani.
Khan has been transferred and posted as the IGP Kashmir range in place of the Syed Javid Mujtaba Gilani. Gilani has been transferred and posted as Director State Vigilance Organization in Khan’s place.
Khan is taking over as IGP Kashmir from Gillani on May 17. He has been posted as IGP at a time when situation in Kashmir especially in South Kashmir is bad with militancy on rise and protests fail to die down.
