Jammu, Dec 15: In department of urology, Super Speciality Hospital (SSH), Jammu an Advanced laparoscopic workshop was organized today.
For the first time, a senior laparoscopic surgeon from Mumbai, Dr Pradeep Rao operated three cancer patients. It was for the first time that Laparoscopic prostate surgery for Cancer was done in the SSH Jammu, which is part of the Government Medical College, Jammu.
Local team included Dr Elias Sharma, Dr Rahul Gupta, Dr Ajay Anand, Dr Raja and Dr Ranjeet Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy was done at Zero cost . The patients have been discharged home after successful surgeries.
Never before such procedures have been performed in Jammu.
GMC Principal Dr Sunanda Raina and Anesthesia team lead by Dr BB Kapoor and theatre staff headed by Dr Hashia fully cooperated in making the surgeries successful.
