MP calls on CM

JAMMU, May 15: In view of the prevailing situation in Jammu City and its outskirts due to the shortage of drinking water and prolong power cuts, the Member Parliament (RS ) Shamsher Singh Manhas today called on Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at this official residence.
During the meeting, Manhas brought to the notice of the Chief Minister the issues mainly pertained to the drinking water, road connectivity, electricity and other basic amenities.
The Chief Minister assured them that their all genuine problems which are being faced by the people will be examined on priority and addressed accordingly. He also said that he will take up these with the concerned departments for appropriate disposal.
He said that the PDP-BJP coalition Government was committed to provide better services to the people of all three regions. He said Government has formulated a well-knit programme to upgrade the existing infrastructural facilities in a phased manner.
He said for ensuring good governance and all round development, the peace is pre-requisite. He asked the people to maintain peace, tranquility and give full time to the Government to concentrate on the development and improving the other basic amenities.
