JAMMU, Feb 3: Minister of State for Education, Tourism and Culture, Priya Sethi stressed on acquainting the children with the spirit of unity to pave a strong foundation for the future of the nation.
“Cultural, moral and traditional values infused with school curriculum will play a decisive role in the holistic development of the younger generation”, the Minister affirmed.
The Minister stated this during the Annual day celebrations of Mount Litera Zee School (MLZS), Anand Nagar Bohri and its Junior Wing KIDZEE at Abhinav Theatre here.
Secretary, State Advisory Board for Development of Kisans, Abdul Hamid Wani and State Vice President, BJP, Yudhvir Sethi were present on the occasion.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp which was followed by Ganesh Vandana.
The toddlers touched the hearts of audience by representing the different states, cultures, traditions and festivals. Classical, folk and fusion dances along with a mono acting was displayed by the students on the theme of Unity in Diversity.
Highlighting Government’s initiatives, the Minister said that the government is taking concerted measures to improve education scenario across the State with quality education and latest techniques and infrastructural facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, State Vice President, BJP, Yudhvir Sethi commended the school for imparting a value based education.
In his address, Chairman of Mount Litera Zee School, Er. Parneesh Mahajan said that the school is working with a purpose of educating the child by imparting not only bookish knowledge but is also inculcating social values among the students.
Regional School Director, Zee Learn Limited, Amita Chaturvedi threw light on the use of technology and the skill development programmes by MLZS which help the students to become the leaders.
An annual report highlighting various achievements of the school was read by the Principal, Manikarnika Bhasin.
Santosh Mahajan, Patron of School and Senior Politician Ayodhaya Gupta also attended the function.
