UDHAMPUR, July 29: A motorcyclist was injured after being hit by a truck on the National Highway at Maand, here today.
According to the police report, a Truck bearing Registration number JK02AM-0387 hit a Motorcycle without number near Mand. Police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu Hospital.
The injured was identified as Subash Chand (25) son of Suraj Chand of Chack in Udhampur.
Meanwhile, a youth attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his house near Pandav Mandir, Ward number 8, here today.
Identified as Sunny Gupta (22), son of Yougal Gupta, the youth was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition. Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
