Motorcyclist dies, pillion rider injured in road mishap

UDHAMPUR, Oct 19: A motorcyclist died while his pillion rider sustained critical injuries when their motorcycle met with an accident after skidding off the road at Satyani, Dhar road in Udhampur.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar (24) son of Rattan Chand of Chack Basya while the injured, identified as Sunil Kumar (31) son of Paras Ram of Kawa Udhampur, was admitted to District Hospital Udhampur.
The accident took place around 9.15 p.m when the Motorcycle, bearing Registration number JK14B-7193, skidded off the road at Satyani. Locals shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared Sanjay Kumar as brought dead.
