Mortal remains of soldiers killed in avalanche flown to Jaipur

JAIPUR: The mortal remains of three soldiers, who lost their lives in an avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir, were brought here today by air.

The aircraft with the mortal remains Kamlesh Singh, a resident of Jhunjhunu, Rajendra, hailing from Alwar and Balveer, a resident of Bharatpur, landed at Sanganer airport, a defence spokesperson said.

The bodies were sent from the airport to their respective hometown by road, he said.

Cremation will take place at their respective native places, the spokesperson added.

The three soldiers’ post under 21 Rajput in Machil sector of Jammu and Kashmir came under the avalanche yesterday. (AGENCIES)
