Molester held after 9-yrs

SRINAGAR, Dec 7: An absconder wanted in a molestation case was arrested from his home in Hatchmarg village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district today.
The accused, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Badana 28, son of Taj-u-Din, had evaded arrest for last nine years.
“Despite efforts, he averted arrest in a molestation case registered in Police Station Villgam in 2008. He was finally nabbed today,” Police said .
A case under FIR (No 58/2008) under Section 354 RPC stands registered against the accused. The accused tried to hide in a wooden box after spotting a police team.
Following his arrest, police produced challan in the molestation case against him in a local court at Handwara.
