JAMMU, Jan 4: Syed Abdul Mohsin of Sunridges Trekking and Mountaineering Club, Ratnipora, Pulwama was unanimously elected as Joint Secretary (Kashmir) of Mountaineering Association of J&K in a meeting held at Press Club here today.
It may be mentioned here that Mohsin, a trained mountaineer, has done his Basic and Advance mountaineering courses from Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Pahalgam and has summitted Stok Kangri peak (20187ft) in Ladakh in 2016.
An avid sport climber, he has also been representing the state in the North Zone Sport Climbing Competitions for the last 4 years, and has also successfully completed the Belayer’s course conducted by Indian Mountaineering Foundation at New Delhi.
