JAMMU, Aug 20: Member Legislative Council and Member National Executive of Bhartiya Janata Party, Ashok Khajuria today kick started the construction work of a toilet block here at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Ved Mandir Enclave, Ambphalla.
While speaking on the occasion, Khajuria termed the step as an initiative to endorse Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. He said the toilet block will cater the needs of the resident, students and staff of this mission school. He further said that everyone should adopt clean habits and should contribute collectively in making the country clean of solid waste.
The toilet block will be constructed at an estimate cost of Rupees eight lakh and the funds for same have been provided by the MLC out of his Constituency Development Fund.
Khajuria directed the officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation accompanying him to complete the work in specified time. The Executive Engineer of JMC, Parbodh Sharma along with AEE Joginder Saraf accompanied the MLC and assured him that quality of the work will maintained at all cost.
Prabhat Singh, Subash Raina, Karan Singh, Naresh Abrol, Naresh Pradhan, Thakur Basant Raj and Anil Magotra were also present on the occasion.
