MLC discusses initiatives to improve sanitary conditions of Rajouri town

RAJOURI, Sept 11: With the objective to further the cause of clean and green Rajouri, senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta chaired a meeting with Municipal employees and mulled on various projects and initiatives to improve sanitary conditions of the town.
He drew attention of the employees towards the need of repairing old street lights and installing new ones. He said that these are the basic wants that need to be addressed post- haste. The need of a vehicle to carry and dump waste material was brought to his notice which he addressed promptly by announcing one Tata Motor from his CDF.
The MLC further spoke on the scope of projecting and declaring Rajouri’s old market as ‘Heritage Market’. He also visited market with the officers and penned down the grievances of shopkeepers and common people. He also appealed people to maintain cleanliness in the market and ensure their contribution in Swach Bharat Andalon. He said it was not only the responsibility of municipal staff but also the citizens to keep their environment clean, green and hygienic.
Municipal Executive Officers assured full cooperation from the Municipal Committee to realise the dream of clean and green Rajouri.
Sanitary Inspector , Supervisor and other employees of Municipal Committee also attended the meeting. Senior BJP leaders, accompanying MLC, were Vijay Sharma, Nishu Gupta, Rajish Sharma and Raja Ratten.
