MLAs urge Govt to expedite work on R&B sector schemes

JAMMU, Jan 23: Several members today took part in the discussion on Demands of Grants for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs Departments in Legislative Assembly today.
Ali Mohammad Sagar called for involving people’s representatives in formulation and implementation of the developmental schemes. He demanded fast-pacing of the work on the Zainakadal heritage project and called for undertaking macadamization of roads of Srinagar city and State as whole.
Noor Mohammad Sheikh complimented the Government and R&B Department for bringing improvement in the functioning of the department.
Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal demanded early completion of ongoing road projects in his constituency especially in far-flung areas while as G M Saroori demanded for increasing the road connectivity in Chenab Valley, Gurez, Karnah, Poonch and other far-flung areas with the district headquarters.
He called for taking up the work on the Vailoo-Singhpora tunnel connecting Chenab valley with Kashmir and Dubjan tunnel on the Mughal road. He demanded for speeding up of acquisition process on various road projects undertaken in the State besides releasing the pending liabilities against the macadamization of roads in district Kishtwar.
Bashir Ahmad Dar demanded for early completion of various ongoing bridges and roads in Kupwara Constituency. He urged for expediting of work on Women Degree College Kupwara.
Abid Hussain Ansari demanded early release of compensation to the land owners whose land has been acquired by the Government for different developmental projects in his constituency.
Sat Paul Sharma demanded widening of Jammu-Akhnoor road and pleaded for the construction of more flyovers in Jammu city to easy the traffic on roads while as Main Altaf Ahmad demanded repair work of National Highway Srinagar-Jammu and said the matter should be taken up with the Government of India for immediate redressal. He urged the Government for giving National Highway status to Mughal Road keeping in view of its historical importance.
Abdul Majid Padder demanded construction of three new road projects in Noorabad Constituency on priority while as Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen Shah demanded early completion of all ongoing road and other projects in Khan Sahib Constituency. He also called for implementation of the District Development Board decisions in letter and spirit.
Mohammad Amin Bhat demanded for macadamization of various roads in Devsar constituency. He stressed upgrading infrastructure at Circuit House, Qazigund. He demanded for construction of road from National Highway Levdoora to Nagris via Koshipora under CRF and construction of bridge at Sadoora Kamad.
Er Abdul Rashid demanded for immediate release of compensation in favour of land owners whose land has been acquired for construction of road and other developmental projects in his constituency. He demanded for proper maintenance of roads constructed under PMGSY.
M Y Tarigami urged the members to synergize their efforts so that they can effectively contribute in maintaining the decorum of the House which would result in effective redressal of the people’s grievances. Raja Manzoor Ahmad demanded construction of Karnah-Keran and various other roads to improve the connectivity of the area with district head quarters.
Asgar Ali Karbalai demanded for special package for Ladakh region for better road connectivity. He also demanded for expediting the process of construction of Zojila Tunnel. Shakti Raj Parihar advocated for the opening on Nashri Tunnel in case emergency to avoid public inconveniences.
Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi  advocated for the better inter district  road connectivity and demanded for widening of Humhama-Budgam road. Shah Mohammad Tantray demanded for proper implementation of various Government schemes for the development of roads in his constituency.
Ch. Mohammad Akram demanded early completion of various works which are being executed by JKPCC. R S Pathania advocated for involving public representative during implementation of developmental projects. He demanded proper implementation of reports given by the House Committees besides demanded for early completion of Mansar-Samba road for better road connectivity.
Pawan Kumar Gupta demanded funds for the permanent restoration of road and refreshment courses for engineers. Mohammad Khalil Band advocated for the development of Rajouri-Poonch and Mughal road for improving road connectivity of the region. Mubarak Gul demanded funds for the rural areas of the Srinagar City under various Government schemes.
Vikar Rasool Wani demanded clearing of roads blocked due to snow and landslides while as Choudhary Sukhnandan advocated for bringing transparency in the system. Yawar Ahmad Mir demanded for upgrading the infrastructure at Ziarat Sharief. Daleep Singh Parihar complimented the Minister for taking reformative initiatives in the Public Works department.
Mohammad Akbar Lone demanded liberal funding under State Sector for footbridge connecting Shadipora and Zalpora. Altaf Ahmad Wani demanded for early macadamization of roads in his Constituency. Deldan Namgiyal demanded enhancing budgetary provisions under R&B sector in his Constituency and also demanded for construction of new road projects there.
Mumtaz Ahmad Khan demanded for speeding up of various ongoing road projects under PMGSY in his Constituency. He also pleaded for macadamization of roads. Anjum Fazli demanded for timely execution of macadamization of roads. She pleaded for improvement of By-pass road in Srinagar district. Aijaz Ahmad Mir called for enhancing of wages in favour of Personal Assistants of Legislators. Gulzar Ahmad Wani demanded for improvement in roads including link roads in Shangus constituency. Sheikh Ishfaq Jabar demanded for expediting construction work of ongoing Buzhama and Shalibug bridges in Constituency.
Rajeev Sharma demanded early repairs and renovation of roads and inner links in his constituency while as Ch. Qamar Hussain demanded for speeding up of Mughal road project. Abdul Majid Larmi demanded macadamization, upgradation and widening of roads in his constituency while as Nawang Rigzin Jora demanded liberal funding for black toping of roads in Leh district. Abdul Rahim Rather demanded office accommodation for legislators in the Secretariat.
Usman Abdul Majid pleaded for formulating comprehensive plans and policy for road projects with provision of proper compensation for acquiring land. Javid Ahmad Rana demanded upgradation of Jammu-Poonch road.
