MLA vows to develop Ramnagar as hub of pilgrimage tourism

RAMNAGAR, Mar 12: MLA Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania today flagged off holy yatra of Shri Mata Pungla Devi Ji from Shri Sheetla Mata Ramnagar with the holy Charri /Mace which was taken out in an impressive function marked with renting of ‘Jaikaras’, blowing of bugles and playing of massive sound-bells and hundreds of men/women dancing and rejoicing in religious fervour.
Holy Mace was taken to the temples of Sri Narsinghimaharaj, Lord Shiva and Mata Vaishno Devi and later on flagged off for Shri Mata Pungla Devi Ji temple in Parli Dhar area.
While speaking on sidelines of the programme, the MLA reiterated his focus on boosting pilgrimage tourism in Ramnagar and Majalta tehsils which shall boost local employment as well exposure and development of the area. He also reiterated focus on proper development, projection and creation of state-of-art tourism facilities at Devi Bani temple at Manwal, Vasuki Nag temples at Dudu, Basantgarh and Gandh Top, Narsingh temples at Ramnagar, Gurlang & Jansal, Aapshambu temples at Dalsar & Khoon, Ancient Nag temple at Mansar, and Chountara Mata, BihanaChoun, and Pingla Mata shrines.
The MLA said that thousands of devotees visit each of these revered shrines every year but State has done least to provide adequate infrastructural facilities at these shrines. On the occasion, he inaugurated and dedicated to the public stairs/grill/gate built at an estimated cost of Rs 4.40 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for the Shrine of Shri Narsingh temple at Jansal. He informed the people that work on road connectivity to the famous shrine of Chountara Mata is underway. He also vowed to provide road connectivity to the shrines of Pingla Mata and BihanaChoun Mata.
Later Pathania kick started work on Plassian- Bainsta road (8 km length) at an estimated cost of Rs 158.83 lakh, Plassian-Rang road (6 km length) at an estimated cost of Rs 330.90 lakh and Sail-Barigarh road (3.750 km length) at an estimated cost of Rs 354 lakh.
Later Pathania held interaction with locals at Jansal, Baryalta, Kanua, Plassan and SK Ber and issued on the spot directions for immediate redressal of grievances related to drinking water, electricity and supply of ration essentials.
